I was recently involved in the delays associated with the fog in Abu Dhabi. A 24 hour long haul flight became a 36 hour epic journey. When we arrived in London our luggage was lost, then found and delivered to the wrong address. This meant that I received my bag at T4 LHR getting ready to check in for my flight home. A full 4 days without luggage.
I wrote to Etihad and they offered 10,000 points prior to knowing about the lost luggage and then 20,000 after I told them about this.
I am a little perplexed because the stress, time wasted and meetings cancelled during my four day stay should be worth more than 20,000 considering I was offered 30,000 for an incident in business class last year.
I was flying on a extra long haul flight in business class and a gold member. I have not made any monetary compensation claims at this stage and not sure if I am entitled to anything.
Any thoughts and help please.

My advice - do not fly with Etihad

My husband flew Perth to Abu Dhabi J class with a connection to Cairo.
His luggage didn't turn up and he had a further flight to southern Egypt, where he works.
Etihad are refusing to deliver the luggage from Cairo.
At his cost, he must now travel back to Cairo to collect the bag from a bonded warehouse.

Basically Etihad does not give a ****.
