Hi - I am hoping this can be answered here or at least advice given before I potentially make a fool out of myself when i ring QF and ask.

I have three, yes 3 separate travel bookings, all on QF. it was done for various reasons but ultimately it saved me $$$$ by doing it as this trip is part business, part leisure.
I have the following tickets:
MEL-SIN one way in J on one booking confirmed. (Cash ticket)
SIN-BOM-SIN in J on another booking confirmed (Cash ticket)
SIN-MEL one way in F on the third booking confirmed (Any Seat Reward ticket)

Do you think if I ask QF premiun desk if these three can somehow get linked I am going to be laughed at. I only really have one concern.

Going over should be fine as in MEL they should tag all the way and issue BP, well I hope as they have done thsi for me previously on 2 tickets.

Now my concern is coming back as the connection time is 1hr 30 mins and I do not know if the check in queens/kings at BOM will issue my SIN-MEL BP there and tag my bags through. If they do then I have no issues as SIN knows I am on my way but I am scared if they do not and there is any slight delay I am in a potential pickle.

Do I really have anything to worry about here? If yes, would they link at least my return tickets?

Typically they can put a "note" on each booking, but will not "link" them implying through carriage.

In practice, presuming these are all felxible tickets, you should be A-OK.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The best you can do is ask QF to add the adjacent flights as "information segments" to the different PNRs. They cannot merge them all into one PNR.

As you have purchased them as separate itineraries, you are not protected if one flight is delayed and you miss a connection. But having adjacent flights listed as information segments can help when it comes to Qantas going beyond their required commitment if you are delayed.

Thanks, if they tag my bags through to BOM from MEL and also issue by BP for the SIN-BOM connection would I then get some comfort if my MEL_SIN is delayed, same goes for the return legs. I will contact them and ask if they can put a comment in my bookings as well.

I also often book parts of my trip separately to get best deal / schedule whatever.

In my experience, once I have done this I call Qantas customer service, and they DO link the flights.

When I get to airport and check in, my bags are always checked in all the way to end, and I get boarding passes for all flights, regardless of the fact that they were booked separately.

Personally I think that this is the point of the "full service" airline.... Qantas usually give me the result I'm after...

The times where bookings are NOT linked, and a note is placed on bookings, is when I have made separate bookings for two or more people. But even in this instance we always get seated together.

So call Qantas and I bet they link your bookings NO problem.

Let us know how you get on.

In practice, that is likely to be the case. But do keep in mind that technically you are not protected. Since its all QF, your chances of being looked after are better than if different airlines and ticketing sources were involved.

Agree completely.

Which is why you have travel insurance as well as relying on Qantas' "goodwill". :!:

I rang QF and managed to get my PNR's all "linked" not physically but through information or whatever they do. They said to me that i will get my BP all the way to BOM in MEL and I woudl be covered if the MEL leg is delayed and vice versa coming back. What that means is up to interpretation, touch wood I need not find out
