LHR T3 arrivals and T5 departing

Afternoon all

I'm traveling in F on QF9 into LHR, arriving 1225. On the same ticket I have a connecting flight to SOF the next day at 0820 from T5, in J as no F on this route. Now I believe:
1/ I should have access to the AA arrivals lounge in T3, correct?
2/ What access I'll have in T5 is a bit harder. According to the rules as per http://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access:

Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights:

• First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).
• Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
• You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight

Seems I fall foul of the 6am rule; does that mean the second point is nul and void so J lounges only? Any recent experience or advice?

Hate to bump my own thread, but any takers? I thought this was a common route for AFFers to take.

No personal experience but going strictly by the rules ( and BA usually do), J lounge access at T5

Thanks PF. The aim is to spend the most time enjoying London and sleeping so whatever lounge access is really not too important! Just wanted to check out BAs Flounge but oh well.

Then I agree with Princess Fiona: Expect the rules to be applied rigidly. Class of onward travel and/or OW status will be the determining factors.
