Latest WP renewal

Good morning all

I think that this may be my first post here, so apologies for being a "lurker" for a while and hope to contribute further in future.

I am not sure if I am being overly precious here, but just received my renewal for WP in the mail yesterday and unlike when I first reached this status, all I received yesterday was my WP card attached to a piece of paper saying something like "Your Membership card". No thank you for your flights with QF in the past 12 months, summary of benefits, dancing girls etc. I wondered if this was usual for renewal or if someone forgot to include the other paperwork. I guess it is not something I really need, as the information is probably on the website, but some acknowledgement of loyalty would be nice.

Any feedback welcome.

I'd rather they spend money on the lounges and keeping fares lower, than printing (& shipping) a whole bunch of junk that's going to end up in the bin after a glancing read.

Welcome aboard Mark, as you've found QFs correspondence is quite underwhelming. I'm assuming your card was attached to a card with a brief outline of benefits but nothing to make you feel special.

Still hang around here and when you get you LTG letter you'll realise just how underwhelming their congratulations really are.

Thank you for the welcome HVR. No, there was not even an outline of benefits this time around, just the card stuck to a piece of paper card.
I will reach LTG with this next round of flights so will wait to see ;-)

Welcome to AFF mt344 . In the trade, we call this an 'enhancement'. Qantas is steadily reducing the 'love' shown to their frequent flyers in many ways.

Pretty standard. They do the same for P1 requal too... totally underwhealming. Even United send cheap placcy bag tags lol.

I guess the thinking at QF is that if you've been a member at this level already you are aware of the perks/benefits etc so hey here's the card.
I kind of get that I mean I don't need a lot of "stfuff" reminding me.

You CAN request new QF tags if you want, they do not come standard.

As Hvr says, your LTG letter will be even more underwhelming so make sure you savour every bit of it.
