Well having flown out on the last NAN-BNE flight today I can tell you that apart from a QF and a JQ flight departing ~ 1600 fiji time to SYD there were no other flights from midday and probably will be until at least late Sunday.
Just to be precise it is not yet a true cyclone having just been upgraded to a Category 2 Tropical storm with sustained windspeeds of 65kmh.
In contrast on Boxing day 1992 we were staying in Denarau when Cyclone Kina passed by.It was a Category 2 Cyclone with sustained windspeeds of 155kmh.No one ventured outside.
