Kualar Lumpur to coughet not using 1 leg of journey and price questions.

I can find this airfare in Expedia.

SYD - HKT

AU$596.02 inclusive of all taxes and fees

21:40 Depart Sydney (SYD)
Arrive Kuala Lumpur (KUL) 04:20 +1 day Sun 11-Sep
Malaysia Airlines 140 Direct flight

09:30 Depart Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Arrive coughet (HKT) 09:45 Mon 12-Sep
Malaysia Airlines 786 Direct flight

SYD-HKT

10:25 Depart coughet (HKT)
Arrive Kuala Lumpur (KUL) 12:50 Fri 30-Sep
Malaysia Airlines 787 Direct flight

22:10 Depart Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Arrive Sydney (SYD) 08:00 +1 day Fri 30-Sep
Malaysia Airlines 123 Direct flight

I have a couple of questions:

1) I can't find this itinerary on the Malaysia Airlines website. When I do a SYD-HKT return search on the Malaysia Airlines site the flight from HKT-KUL is:

18:05 HKT coughet 20:30
KUL Kuala Lumpur International Airport

This would be a much better time to fly back to KUL but this airfare is $1233.02. Is it unusual for Expedia to have an itinerary listed on their site that Malaysia Airlines doesn't list on theirs?

2) When I search Malaysia Airlines website for the same dates, but do a return airfare SYD-KUL the price for this alone is $595. Is it possible that the Expedia website is wrong as they are showing $596 for SYD-KUL-HKT, HKT-KUL-SYD. What would happen if I booked this itinerary with Expedia and then they found an error. Would I have to pay more?

3) If I booked the itinerary with Expedia and don't show up for the 10:25 Depart coughet (HKT) Arrive Kuala Lumpur (KUL) 12:50 Fri 30-Sep flight can I still fly the KUL-SYD leg? I would rather get an Air Asia or similar later flight from HKT-KUL.

MAS have another flight on that day and the expedia booking is accurate.

If you make the booking with expedia and it comes through confirmed you should have no problems.

When I select the later flight on Expedia the airfare doubles to $1200.

I need to know if I can book the original itinerary for $595, but not use leg 3. I can book a later flight for leg 3 with air asia for $75.

No.

All coupons in a ticket must be used in order or you will be considered a 'no-show' and the rest of the itinerary will be cancelled without refund. You will not be able to board the aircraft.
