Hi all,

In March (2023) I am flying from Vienna to Edinburgh (via Amsterdam) and Edinburgh to Vienna (via Paris). I am taking my golf clubs with me and it seems KLM/AF allow you to take them on top of your regular allowance if you are a Flying Blue member. It doesn't state any tier requirements for this. I signed up to a new account and have obtained my 'golf bag voucher'. Is this all that needs to be done?
Does anyone have any experience traveling through Europe with golf clubs? In particular KLM/AF?

Travelling with sports equipment and other special baggage - KLM Australia

Appreciate any insight at all!

Yes it seems that
Flying Blue = golf clubs up to 23kg plus one checked luggage - in exchange for flying blue golf voucher
Non flying blue and standard or flex ticket = either golf club bag or 1 checked luggage
Non flying blue and lite ticket = pay $$$

I don’t see any other requirements other than your golf bag contains only golf clubs, balls and golf shoes

Thanks for the reply! It certainly seems that way! It just seems in the 'too good to be true' category when you can take 1 minute to sign up to a free FlyingBlue account and with no status you get access to an extra 23 kg bag!
