JQi check in time for delayed flight

JQ 29 is delayed by 55 minutes today.

I was aiming to get to the airport at exactly 3hrs before the scheduled departure.

Can someone tell me if check in is likely to open at the normal time? Or does JQ shift it accordingly?

Spent the last 10mins searching AFF & google. Couldn't find anything. :\

Luckily, I have been delayed on JQi once. Check in opened at 3 hours before scheduled departure. I was already at the Airport, so have no idea if it stayed open.

6 hours in the Lounge at DPS is a VERY long time ......

Both the QF and JQ CSA's in SYD were fantastic is reorganisining my transfer to Domestic and onward JQ flight.

I has JQ7 delayed by 3 hours and check in opened at 3 hours before scheduled departure. I got the SMS on the way to the airport. I'm not sure whether your additional notice means they will open later but I suspect not. I would keep to your original plan if you have a reason to get there early. I'd be surprised if at least one counter wasn't open for early check in.

Happened to me a fornight ago on the same flight except there was a three hour delay. Rang call centre and they said check in would open three hours before the new departure time but as we were meeting people that had already boarded a connecting flight, we went to the airport anyway. Low and behold the check in was open way before the said three hour window prior to departure.

For future reference check in was opened at the scheduled time. Will now be enjoying some extra time in the lounge.

As a JQ29 regular, it is also my experience that check-in opens at the normal T-3 hours time. Enjoy the extra time in the Qantas First Lounge.

I'll be happy just to arrive at the other end in one piece.

The staff at the front desk tell me there's a mechanical issue causing the delay. I always get nervous when this happens. :\
