I suspect so. As the two processes are via separate links and occur at different stages. Sign up via the 5000 points link and then once you have an account and membership number through this you apply for the status match via the other link.

I don't know if anyone else has had the same problem - but I applied just now and the website rejected the code AUS2 for the promo code - said it was invalid or outdated. Any ideas or suggestions?

Yes the code hasnt worked for myself either - i have emailed the people that sent out the email for an updated code

I just received a reply to the non-working code try AUS1

i cant believe i didnt wait - i even tried AUS2/3/4 haha but i didnt want to potentially miss out on the status match like i did with Virgin last year so just joined up anyway last night

hopefully someone else can take advantage of this offer
