I booked flights to Melb from Cool on 3 Feb travelling on Feb 7 . I received an email re IMPORTANT info re my booking on 4 Feb and was told that Deathstar was upgrading its booking systems on this weekend and advised that I needed to use the web checkin to print boarding passes. I have spent the last twp days trying to access this web checkin site. I am only presented with their important message every time or the page fails to load. In frustration I rang tonight to be told that Jest_star is beginning its upgrade program earlier than was advised !!! Jest Star failed to notify me of their change of plans. I was told to get to the airport TWO hours early to avoid missing the flight!!!!!!!


WTF - is wrong with this airline?? Departing from Coolangatta I am stuck with them as QF no longer flies here and the Qantas Club is closed.

These people could not organise a chook raffle in a brothel.

NEVA again _ it will be Virgin from now on after flying QF for 30 years.
I complained but nobody could give a coughK about their stuff up and they still have the same message on their web site. What is wrong with this airline??????????
 
this is a little left field I know

but there is a pub right near the airport that might help ease the pain - about 5 mins walk

hubbie and I had to fly tiger out of coolangata - and they have no web checkin

so we rocked up, checked in and then went for lunch at the pub - bottle of four sisters chardonnay was $20 i think - lunch $8 and a damn site nicer than the pizza on offer in the tiger terminal

I think it's been made quite clear that a system upgrade is in place over the weekend. Your travel on the 7th has always been one of the days the upgrade takes place and that most online and phone services are unavailable to you. Web check closed Thursday night and you can only check in 24 hours in advance so you were never going to be able to web check anyway. I don't know what your complaining about? The message is still on the website because the upgrade is still taking place and will probably remain there until Monday morning when the upgrade is complete.

you forgot to say that the pub sound like a great idea! :shock:

I know .. shamelessly posting it again.. but having to check in early it made it much easier to pop over and have a good feed/wine

don't disagree with your post - just don't want this info to dissappear.

The pub actually seems more mainstream than its website - on the Gold coast everything is all glitz and glamour ... or smoke and mirrors ...
