Previously I had been able to interline flying QF SYD-SIN, 3K SIN-KUL on separate tickets. Now QF tells me because it's not oneworld I can't do it - but if it's a QF 3K codeshare they can. I find it hard to believe they cannot interline with their own subsidiary. They said this was a recent change in policy. Another QF "enhancement". Fortunately I did have enough time in SIN to be able to get my luggage.

I think this has always been the case, maybe you were just lucky those few times that they did interline. Shouldn't be a big deal anyway just head to the transfer desk in SIN and they can retag your bags and issue boarding passes for your 3K flight.. or book MH next time for SIN-KUL as QF can check bags through to MH even on separate tickets due to being Oneworld.

With all due respect that document is from 2010!

It might be from 2010 but it's the policy currently linked to on the QF agents portal. I do not recall any changes to this policy being announced since 2010 anyway.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

So much for staying loyal to QF/Jetstar. I previously even received 3K boarding passes in Sydney.

What you've been told is correct as the only carriers who QF will through check to on separate pnrs must be One World member airlines which excludes JQ.

The official QF policy is QFi will interline to 3K.

See page 3 http://www.qantas.com.au/agents/dyn/qf/policies/ReadytoFlyFAQ191010.pdf

That was the case however it changed possibly a year ago so any interlining from QF to JQi (or 3K) must be when all flights are booked in the same pnr.

Looks like the info on the agents portal needs updating.
