Does anyone know if Jetstar are making their business class available for the few weeks it will be flying domestic? I cant book it online, and the call centre has no idea...

They are, the flights are sold as economy and you pay extra for up front, the inaugural flight thread has details.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'd like to know the answer too.

I'm booked to fly from NRT to MEL via CNS early Dec as a J ticket. The CNS-MEL sector is supposed to be in Y because there's no J seating. Then yesterday, I received a new itinerary from JS saying that the CNS-MEL flight is now on the 787.

I scrolled further down and noticed that my pre-selected seat up the front was gone and replaced with a 'Add a seat' link. But my partner's seat number was still there. He had a C seat while I had a B seat. Now without a pre-selected seat, I went straight to my booking to try and select a new seat and make sure that we're seating together. Luckily the A seat is available (only 2 seats on the side), and all selectable seats come up with a $0.00 cost.

Just figured it out - so you select the max bundle, then you seat select from business class.

You shouldnt need to select the max bundle, just select the seat you want and pay the extra $24 for the business seats.

All the window ones are gone for the flight i wanted, and i really just wanted to use my points up on it. oh well.

Nope, for the pure domestic legs just pay the extra leg room charge:

Hi Guys,

I am flying MEL-CNS on JQ944 Dreamliner. I selected Seat 1J. :)It shows on the map that there is space between the seats. I know from experience on Virgin (flying Christchurch to Melbourne) that this just means there's a wider arm rest between the seats. I'm wondering what people's experience has been in these up front (business class-esque) seats. :?: The Jetstar fly through video carefully avoided showing images of these particular seats, and I can find no photos people might have snapped when on board.

I'm a big guy and always try to find a solution that brings me AND my neighbour the most comfort, (whether booking one to two seats, or upgrading). So this upfront seat options seems like a good pick, though it would be good to see a image of the cabin layout beyond the seat selection diagram.

Couldn't find anything on Seat Guru for Jetstar for this flight number. Below is my own screen shot of how the layout looks on the seat selection option I had. Note the difference between the your screenshot.

Cheers
