We are flying out of Haneda next month on an early morning (2am) flight and are wondering what to do after we check out of our hotel and therefore what time we can check in and use lounge (flying business). From memory Tokyo not great at places to just hang out.

We’re hoping hotel will let us leave baggage and squeeze in a bit more sightseeing, possibly an early dinner but that’s a lot of time to fill and would be good to just check in early and spend a few hours in the lounge! But all this depends on when we can check in.

You would need to double check with JL but I believe they have all day bag drop and check in. I'd probably aim to leave the bags with your hotel then head over after dinner. With a 2am flight you have more than ample time to get to Haneda.

You could also arrange with a baggage company like Yamato Transport to deliver your bags to the airport and you won't have to worry about trying to store them somewhere and then collect before going to the airport.
