Have found some fares to singapore over the christmas period on the ITA Matrix site for a reasonable price, and I've been trying to book it, but having no luck. What airfare consolidators(expedia, webjet,??) on the web use the same engine as Matrix so that I can try and use the website to find the flight which says its available? I tried checking on the airline website itself but that says sold out as well.

Failing that, anyone know a good TA who might be able to book this for me, if I give the booking codes, fare construction, etc... as supplied by ITA Matrix? Happy to send some business their way if they have the ability to book this for me.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Are these on SQ/VA? I've been looking myself for that period.

I can't seem to reproduce them and FC is telling me the fare buckets are exhausted. Haven't really looked in further detail.

Let me know if you figure it out as I'm in the same boat myself.

NB, in my experience ITA Matrix is generally wrong for availability on Emirates...

Etihad is your next best bet, or Scoot / AirAsia.

you can try zuji and expedia or a TA, you will have to pay a margin on top of the prices listed on ITA

Not sure if it will work here, but I've found that Hipmonk seems to use the same flights engine and can find the ITA Matrix flights through there.

Thanks for that tip and the other tips others have posted. Hipmunk seems to be a front end for the same flights engine but then feeds into Orbitz(which also uses the same engine), which had found the flight for me, but couldn't let me book it.

It was Emirates *shakes fist!!!* actually. Costs of the flights if I could get the emirates flights were getting prohibitive and involved non-direct flights, so in the end I gave up. I was intending to fly to Singapore first(getting out of Oz seems to be the most painful part), then from Singapore, take a low cost airline to Samui for a little beach holiday before going back to singapore to spend time with some family and friends.

Instead, I've opted to fly jetstar to Bali, spend a week there, take another low cost flight to singapore, then fly back from singapore to Mel after. Saved about $500 per person doing that instead of of my previous plan, so good enough. Now, to pick my hotel in Bali :)

ExpertFlyer (EF) works pretty well in tandem with ITA Matrix. EF availability numbers have generally updated by the time I put my credit card away after doing a booking so its pretty current. If you find a fare basis on Matrix you can plonk that into EF to see what the real availability is like.

And if you don't have an ExpertFlyer subscription, then FlightStats is a good free alternative for seat availability.
