I was looking today at flights from Cairns to Gold Coast and noticed this flight. Are they planing on starting the route? It wouldnt surprise me as JQ are at 2 daily.Screen Shot 2013-01-02 at 10.12.14 PM.jpg

Hi Brad,

Just done a bit of research, there seems to be a AFL game on in CNS that day, and it seems the Gold Coast Suns are playing. This flight must be for supporters and the Suns team, with VA being Official Airline of the AFL probably something to do with the contact to provide services for teams and fans.

Dom :)

They had CNS-OOL and canned it. At saver fares like that, I doubt it'd be too popular given both J* fares and VA BNE-CNS fares.

Its wonder VA don't have this OOL/CNS back on a regular bass, I've done 3 trips on this sector with JQ all have been full.

VA may consider bringing it on once the CNS lounge finally opens. Long shot by the looks of discussions here.

Ejet via TSV, stopped 6 months back.

I would hardly call that a direct flight or a fair go. 3 per week on a E90 different flight numbers stoping in TSV at high prices. Jetstar offering $65 twice per day. they had no chance. maybe a daily direct E90.

It was never direct and it was a E170

If TSV didn't work with no competition, then CNS won't work with competition.

If the Skywest deal goes through, an OOL-PER might be possible however?

Business Class looks like great value

My 1 J flight ever was VA MEL-ADL last year. On the flight happened to be the entire Richmond football team. They looked extremely unimpressed as they walked past me lounging around in Row 2 to their seats back in rows 7 - 12.
