Hey Guys,

Wanted to pass on m thanks too for all the valuable contributions on this site. Freq reader - rare contributor

I've been on the AAdvantage bandwagon for 5 or 6 years and lucky enough to have just clicked over the 2mm mile mark. Mostly BIS but some conversion as well.

Am I right that AMEX is still the only Aussie card that can realisitically transfer to AAdvantage. I signed up for the very expensive Citibank Select Visa Signature about a year ago with the promise that SPG was going to be a transfer partner but it has never eventuated as far as I can tell - very annoying as it is a better earning vs $'s card for me than the Amex Business Platinum card (also hugely expensive).

You guys probably are already onto this but if you have a business it is also worth signing on for the Busienss Extraa program which is basically another FF program within the AA suite and earns points for all staff who travel on AA rev tickets without impacting the individual AAdvantage accounts in any way. It's a lot slower to earn free flights I find but it's a free bonus really!!

I thought you needed a business based in the US/UK to join? I have looked a number of times, but the address requirements seemed more "real" than say when booking a ticket.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

No idea about the business extrAA plan.
But Diners is actually better at transferring to AA miles-direct at 0.5 miles per point but better still via SPG at 0.5 so the extra bonus when transferring your points from SPG to AA if done in 20000 lots.So effective DC rate-0.625 v Amex-0.4125.
But you have to put up with pretty ordinary service.I got much the same acceptance as Amex, much the same surcharges.Plus I have a fee free DC.Keep the Amex as the ATO doesn't accept Diners.
