Received this email today from "Forethough Research":

Dear Jetstar Customer,

Thank you for choosing Jetstar for your flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne - Tullamarine. Jetstar values comments and feedback from all its customers and would like to invite you to tell us about your experience with Jetstar.

Jetstar has commissioned Forethought Research to collect your feedback via a confidential online study. Your responses will remain anonymous; no individual responses will be provided to Jetstar and your identity will not be revealed to Jetstar. Instead your responses will be aggregated with responses from other participants in this study.

Please note that Forethought Research is an independent market research agency and is not able to respond to specific customer queries regarding the service received on Jetstar.

The survey should take approximately 20 minutes and as a token of appreciation if you qualify and complete the survey, Jetstar invites you to enter to win one of three $500 cash prizes!!! All you need to do is tell us in 25 words or less one thing that Jetstar can do to improve its service. The three most creative and innovative answers will win $500 each.
So I followed the link, with questions regarding Jetstar service, boarding, pricing, check in, issues...
Some questions required answering by a sliding scale of negative/positive. Got about 75% of the way through, when there was no option to continue the process - so, mission aborted.

Do i win $500 for suggesting Jetstar can improve their surveys?

:p

classic but not unexpected. I would love to read some of the entries.

I had a similar request for my 6am NTL-MEL flight of 2 weeks ago. The survey was much shortened as soon as I said I was a leisure flyer. I suspect they are wanting to assess their business traveler options. I doubt my suggestion for improvement will win me $500!

It's pretty simple, not that they want to do this, but if the cheapest fares earned discount economy SC's, then I'd think business travellers might see a good reason to fly them.

Just doing the survey after a JQ flight last week. Have to chuckle at this leading question:

And how likely would you be to fly with Jetstar again at a 10% increase in price?

Jetstar is thinking of increasing it's airfares by 10%? How could they possibly justify the increase?

Jetstar's decision making process always makes me laugh. It is great to be cheered up whan I one is severely depressed....
