Hello There,
I have booked a QFF reward ticket x2 last Friday BNE HKG JFK LHR KIX HKG BNE. On QF CX BA but the tickets have not been issued yet, also the points have not been deducted yet is this normal? I have the ESTA for USA if that holds up the ticket. How long for this sort of ticket to be issued?
Thank you very much.

not sure as the only international award I have done was with QF and point to point. However it was held up because I hadn't put in the DOB and full name of the person for whom I was booking. Qantas told me anything involving the USA had to have full details, so make sure you have those filled in, otherwise it goes into a queue.

I booked a reward ADL LHR on Cathay on Wednesday and was trying to find it because it wasn't showing in the bookings on the front page but when I clicked into the bookings it's there now - I also now need to work out the best seats and how to choose them - on MMB on Qantas it will only let me select aisle or window - good luck

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You should be able to select seats via 'manage booking' at:

Online Flight Booking | Airfare | Australia - Cathay Pacific

Follow it up! IIRC there was a case reported not so long ago where QF didn't issue a ticket in time and the seats were cancelled by the operating airline. The 'safe' window is usually 72 hours before a partner airline can cancel an unpaid seat.

Once you have ticketed you have full access to the CX MMB. I would use that rater than trying to go through QF.

I always find that completing the APIS information (passport, address of first night in the USA etc) makes the ticket go through pretty quickly... until you've filled that in it can often sit there in limbo. :)

Select your seats using the QR website - just enter your QF booking number. This works even if you're not flying with QR

OK - logged into QR and see my booking and the seats they selected for me but can't work out how to see the seat map so I can see what other seats are available - am I just being thick

(and sorry to hijack the OP)

Cheers

Even if you can select seats on the QR website I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It is always safest to use the operating airline's MMB function to select seats.
