I'm flying through HNL on Sunday with an 9 hour transit. I've booked an SS Camaro and plan to cruise around for a few hours taking in some sights, but the question related to my baggage.

I'll be flying with QF to HNL, then AA from HNL to IND (via DFW). With such a long transit, can I still have my bags checked the who way through?

Cheers!

You will have to collect your bags in HNL to clear customs, but you should then be able to drop them off with AA once you do.

Just remember to take your AA pnr with you so they CSA can add the details in in order for your bags to be tagged to IND & your AA boarding passes issued unless of course all flights are in the same pnr.

You could always have breakfast at Eggs 'n' Things as there are 3 in the Waikiki area - Saratoga Street, Kalakaua Avenue & Piikoi Street. If you have a car the easiest one parking wise would be the one in Piikoi Street at the Ala Moana Plaza (not to be confused with the Ala Moana Center next door).

There is usually a small wait however you can take the buzzer with you next door to the Payless Shoe Source shop & the time will fly by.

Head up to the North Shore to partake of some "Shave Ice" (never use a 'd' after the word Shave!!) at Matsumoto Grocery Store.

Pearl Harbour is another great stop.
