I've just spent the weekend in MELB as SWMBO's bag carrier. It's more than evident that this summer's lady's fashion has been inspired by Hi-Viz-In-The-Lounge. Every store on Collins St, the new season tops, dresses, cardigans and other stuff worm by our female counterparts made standard hi-viz yellow and orange work ware pale into insignificance. I kid you not!

Hi-viz in the Lounge : your argument is now fully invalidated!!!:p

You must not spend much time in Melbourne. A lot of 'power women' here dress in bright bold colours. It's also probably has something to do with a rebellion of the grey cold dark Melbourne winter :)

Well the Neons are in this Summer for women's fashion. Not a fan of neon yellow, orange, green, pink etc ... but I don't control fashion trends!

That's odd, every time I've gone to melbourne I've had to check my colour vision, because all I see is greyscale. Then I look down at my pink/red/green clothes and am placated - although often stared at!

At least cross dressing miners will no longer have to sweat on the availability of portaloos to quickly change into workwear before a shift

I was just going to say that tastefully done those are really nice sweet colours.

And then I saw the photo of the trash posted above. :(

That's strange you only see greyscale. I think Melbourne woman are the most stylish dressers in the country.

Fluffy moccasins for shopping centre footware does not rate as stylish in my book, Sprucegoose! ;) :D

Seriously though, we prefer to shop for nice winter clothes in either Melbourne or Canberra. Summer clothes in Qld. Last time in Sydney both my wife and I commented on how down market the Sydney siders have gone, with a plethora of thongs (footware variety), ugg boots and jeans being sighted in the city. The worst fashion look (IMO) is singlet, jeans, thongs and a beanie........I'm never sure if laughing loudly is permitted!

I took this at Ascot on Melbourne Cup day last year.

Was this taken the same day? :p
