I joined this forum 4 days ago when I accidentally came across it when surfing the net exploring options to get from Sydney to Vienna with a specific itinery that I had in mind.

Have had a bit of look around, made a few dumb comments and a couple of more useful comments so far but more than this, I have learned a great deal. Just when I thought that I knew a bit about frequent flying, I now realise that I am just a novice compared to what I am seeing around here.

I do a mix of domestic and international travel. 90% of domestic is going down to Melbourne and back from Sydney. Most of international travel is to Asia and US. Due to my mix of travel and the way my credit cards have been structured, I am pretty well trapped in the QFF programme. The alternatives do not quite meet my requirements and it is a shame that DJ could not have a better product and be part of a major airline alliance.

I like to be organised and I can see that this forum is going to help with being organised for my future flying. If you haven't already seen it, see the movie Zombieland - great example of being organised - it is a great movie to watch on the plane when you wish to expend minimal brain processing power. Oh, I am also into vinyl!

Looking forward to making the most of this resource and hopefully contribute as well.
