As the QF CDP just provides a 3% discount on the standard public rate for most car groups at Hertz, it's actually the standard public rate that has soared. I haven't noticed the rates increasing significantly over the last couple of months, but in my observation, they have increased substantially (50-100%) over the last 12-18 months, not just at Hertz, but all of the majors. 12-24 months ago, public rates were almost always lower than the negotiated rates with my CDP's (leisure, not corporate), often almost half. I regularly obtained a Commodore or Falcon (often an SV6 or XR6) for a base rate (excl. taxes, charges, excess reduction) of $30 a day - often at Avis Melb. city, occasionally at Avis ADL, Hertz CNS, Hertz MEL. Now, the negotiated rates are almost always lower, often significantly. One added benefit is that negotaitated rates have a significantly lower excess (not that this of benefit to me, as my credit card covers $5,500 excess).
