hi all

I'm trying to help my brother book his flights over to my wedding and he is with virgin. He can leave syd on the 1st of June at anytime and would like to be in usm the next day earliest possible. Was wondering which route is best to earn status credits on the way? He is not sure yet on day home yet but might head to Japan for 5 days he reckons. Needs to be back in Syd for work on the 17th of June so return would be at a guess 15th of June.

thanks in advance :)

Either fly SQ SYD-SIN-BKK (nice, but expensive) then buy a separate ticket BKK-USM or else book VA SYD-(PER?)-HKT (much cheaper, but horrible) then a separate HKT-USM ticket.

If he is willing to give up the SCs I imagine this would be much cheaper and easier on TG.

Yeah I said to him about tg. Will talk again to him.

Was looking is silk air tied in with Singapore airlines?

Silk Air is a 100% owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. They do Singapore's regional flying.

However, you can't earn Velocity SCs when flying them, even if the flight has and SQ code.
