Hello I am new to this forum and need some help please. My daughter is going to uni in the UK from October this year studying a 4 year course. We are looking for a program that will give us the best point calculation/rate of return. What we are planning at the moment is
Year 1 - 4 return trips (daughter and other family members)
Year 2 - 1 return trip per year for daughter
Year 3 - 2 return trips
Year 4 - 1 return trip
During this time there may be one or two return trips for other family members to north Asia. A couple of times a year I fly domestically for work (Sydney - Melbourne) return and Sydney - Auckland mainly by QANTAS.
We are currently members of SQ Kris Flyer but wonder if there is another program that would accumulate points at a better rate. We would also be willing to change our credit card to one that can be changed to frequent flyers. Any comments/advice will be welcomed.

Welcome Miona.

With
- Already flying QF to AKL
- Domestic Australia flights
- Trips to Asia
- UK flights
- possible (Australian) Credit cards

then really the easiest is Qantas.

BUT

SQ is a decent rpogram, and have good availability for redemption (compared to QF), and you can earn on Air NZ to AKL if you're prepared to switch carriers, plus many Aus CCs will let you transfer points to SQ, and you're already a member, so they're another decent option, but your domestic flights is Aus wont earn with them.

others can probably give you a more technical analysis, but your approach (find one program and try and do most point crediting to a single one) seems the right one in general.
