HBA lounge

With all this took about the OOL lounge recently, ISTR some talk previously about an HBA Loungr after OOL.

Was this right? Or was I reading what I wanted to? Is there some sort of opening schedule kicking around the place that I can see?

Believe it is a 2013 opening. No action yet, and am pretty sure when it announced it was for next year!

If that is the case I will now have to change my plans and fly into Launceston and fly out of Hobart.

A lounge would be a welcome change from having to wait amongst the polar fleece, and on dirty seats/carpet.

There's one AirNZ Antarctic expedition related flight a year, which puts the International into the airport. Or so I've been told.

Actually got the the international name quite a while ago when there were some direct flights between Hobart and Kiwiland.

The sooner they get a lounge open the better. I do a lot of trips between HBA and CNS and no lounge in either is almost driving me back to QF.
