Hi,

Is it still possible to redeem Velocity points for Business Class travel on Hawaiian Airlines? You can no longer search to HNL on the Velocity website. If you can is there a way to find out how many points are required to fly from SYD-HNL in there new Lie Flat Business Class seats and where to search availability? Also how many points for HNL-LAS in Business?

I regularly claim hawaiin airlines seats with my velocity points. Business Syd Hon will set you back 78,000 and then from Hon to Los Angeles will be another 53,000. Availability will not show on the Virgin web site. You need to ring for availability.

Thank you for the update and the points required.

Hi mlob, what were the taxes/fees like with these bookings (either one-way or return), if you happen to remember?

Remember it's always preferred to book Hawaiian flights from BNE, as its less than 4800 miles & comes in at only 65,000 velocity points for J. You can search availability on AA prior to calling.
Thanks for this advice, I have not seen and reviews of J on Hawaiian Airlines. What is it like? seems attractive at the velocity points level required. Thanks in advance.

I booked a J ticket one-way on HA from PPG-HNL. It was 53,000 Velocity points and 27.50 AUD. The J class on this route is pretty sub-par, but it is still a decent value considering a Y ticket cost $560 USD on its own.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
