I think Nizar maybe on to something. Let me think I have flown with USDM for 45k in F around the world . I have united 1k premier status , one world emerald status every hotel chain top elite status , every car rental company top elite status . 100k worth of free hotels . I'm part of a group here yet not one person has said wow Shane well done or that's amazing.
It's always been people have helped you why don't you help others. So I give some advice on lifemiles , hotels , us dividend miles and you all still complain , why is that ?

Well the answer is clear I have finished first second and third in the who's the man department . And you guys can sit there and type away complaining ignoring whatever makes you feel better . While I sit back and book my next trip anywhere in the world for 25k in business class , stay in the penthouse suite with terrace for free and rent the best car the company has.

Everyone of you are good at something , i just suggest you keep looking .

I think Nizar maybe on to something. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah

So you've taken advantage of pricing errors and piggy backed onto tricks that were already in the public domain. Gosh, what a hero you are Shanye - a true innovator!

There are people here who traveled to Europe in F and US Airways paid them! I guess they trump you.

There are other people who post on this thread who have come up with really innovative ways of amassing 100k's of miles in popular FFPs for next to nothing - I'm pretty sure they haven't told you about it though - I think they trump you too.

Meanwhile the recount of your antics and "seeking of help" (of which I might add is very false) shows you have little moral concern for others except (possibly) your family, you lack ethics, are happy to both advocate and actively skirt around, break or ridicule the local laws in various countries, and quite frankly show you have not a single iota of humility in you.

Help others? Give me a break - could you be any more sycophantic?

If that doesn't adequately explain the collective disdain for you, then nothing will.

I'm only biting at this because I'm bored and have time. This is why people on here don't believe a word you say Shayne:

I also wouldn't recommend anyone else trying this because it could turn out that they may not even let you out of the country it's a big risk to take

I won't be doing it like this again checking out every day is a pain in the bottom.

Re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

shayne can you start a blog? i think it would be fascinating reading.

whilst reading some of your posts suggests you have done well for yourself, many, if not most of the FF community/ let alone general population, would consider themselves more risk averse than yourself and/or have a different set of morals they live by.

are you seeking a public pat on the back? what is the need for what appears to be big-noting?

I think it is called A.D.D. or something along those lines… [What a shame Shanye2233]

Re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

There are two kinds if people in this world, people who brag about travel all the time and people who genuinely love travelling ....

Aren't you going to be at the Aff Holiday Inn love in on new years eve? I'm sure all the AFFers will pat you on the back there!

I just don't get why nobody is on my side . Half the words you guys speak I have to google to understand . I'm on $600 a week so I'm very proud of my achievements

Don't hate the player hate the game :)

Shanye2233, you fail to grasp the reasons. It isn't jealousy, it isn't admiration. Threads like your recent European adventure are the reason people don't want to help. People spend time giving advice which is ignored. Information flows one way (I don't see it being returned). You actually have a strong reputation within the Frequent Flyer world. Yes, you are known, and perhaps you should be proud of that.

I would suggest the reason why 'nobody is on your side' is because the majority of active members on this forum have a level of integrity, morals and ethic that means they optimise the benefits available to them without unfairly taking advantage of others.

Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe they just don't like you.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'm known as the guy people don't want to talk to or help . I took everyone's advice on the recent Europe trip and I did catch the train . Yes I wish I didnt it was a pain to get to and from each station with 6 bags of luggage and two small kids . I never complained.

If I wrote a TR about the flights , hotels do you think people would say wow great job I don't think so.

Have I unfairly taken advantage of anyone here ?

That issue with the fruit in New Zealand was that my fault ? No it wasn't I was told what to do and where to go it was a flaw in their system and if they are going to seperate my family and treat us like criminals then yes you will get some feelings back at ya

Geez - let's have a think. Perhaps it's the fact you ask for information, then proceed to argue with those who provide the correct, factual information that you don't want to hear.

The JQ price-beat F Lounge access thread sticks to mind as a prime example very much so.

Yes we are aware of some of the gimmicks going around, but some of us do like to earn our status the hard way...

Here is what I have done and suggest that others do the same if the posts worry you. Trust me, it makes life easier

Yes, Yes,OK, I do admit to the odd peek

edit to add: this is my own personal coping mechanism, and everyone, of course, must interact with fellow AFF members as they see fit

Maybe it's your online persona that rubs people the wrong way. Maybe you're just fine in real life. If you're at the Holiday Inn on new years eve, let's have a beer!
