Just looking at SYD-TSV returns for the Happy Hour period (28 April to June sometime) and the direct flights (VA1519-1520) show up as $119 one way but the tab at the top that indicates the cheapest fare for that date shows $109. The promo also says $109 is the cheapie on offer. All the flights via BNE are $195.

Any reason for the extra $10?

My guess is that the $109 is the price of the Saver Light fare, which Virgin seems to have started removing from various routes, including this one.

But obviously what revenue managements thinks and what the websites is doing don't match :-/

I'd call up and ask for the advertised sale price.
