The title says it all I'm looking to book a flight for a family of 4 since that's likely to cost about $2k I'd like it to be a good experience.

Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about any of the operators?

Wow there is a lot of choice!!

Only advice I can give is JUST DO IT. We did a helicopter ride out there 20 yrs ago including champagne lunch - it was just SPECTACULAR. No idea who took us but JUST DO IT.

yes i do. I did a lot of research for my partner and Maverick are the best operators by far. Just research "Las Vegas helicopter crashes" and there is enough horror stories online to make you want to do your research. Maverick is one of the oldest operators in Las Vegas with the youngest fleet and the most experienced pilots. You pay more though.

We went with Sundance Helicopters with no problems at all. The pilot was very experienced, having been in aviation for many years and recall that he used to pilot between mainland and oil rigs and also in the US forces.

This tour was a highlight of our trip. It really is worth the $$$ (at least once).

Hope you have great time.

Done with Sundance twice, no dramas. Just booked it on the strip. Do a sunset trip, about $50 more but it is cooler and as you come back to Vegas the strip is lighting up.
Sundance lands slightly higher than Mavericks, as in Mavericks is closer to the water. But I don't think any of them allow (or want you to) enough time to walk down to the water.
They usually swap seats around so if you are in the front on the way out you go in the back, back. It is weight related so some people are too heavy for the front.

Drive to the South Rim via Route 66 as well if you have time, it is worth it.
