Got upgrade to J from discount Y

I got lucky with the promotion offering upgrades to those travelling on discount Y fares. Business Sydney-frankfurt. However i've not recieved my points for flying in discount economy. I checked the original O fare does acrue discount economy points. I thought i'd get these, but when I sent off a request for unclaimed points i got a unsuccessful show up.

Everytime i've successfully upgraded on domestic I've got the points. Is this some fine print i can't find or should i call Qantas. I'd call them now, but soaking up some sun in Montenegro right now.

You should call them. You should get discount economy points. There has been some problems with the system.

This is a common problem.It seems to depend on just how the upgrade was processed. Just call Qantas FF and they will resolve quickly.

Yeah I'll call when I get back to Australia or when I have some spare time in europe. Just wanted to make sure i didn't miss some fine print.

Yes the stunning view while i check my emails is also an issue. That or the stein of cold beer as well ;-)
