Basic background is I got a new job and it's been 9 weeks since I've started.

Last major trip was for 2 weeks in April so I'm the type that itches when I don't have anything planned until work ethic slowly unravelled and I'll stick to the line used by most employees I've met so far "the best way to guide and structure management is to make sure you punish them by making them know you're needed".

I then decided to book a $200 one way ticket on JQ7 which is scheduled to depart at 1100 on Monday. What sparked me to book was the fact that it's the Dreamliner... Even though I've been on it before I thought why not make this into a cheap trip overseas.

With a few days of monitoring the OTP which has seen it delayed as well as with what's happening in regards to the Bali volcano clouds and all that if something does happen then that will be priority to JQ so they will use aircraft to shuttle bogans home.

I decided to change stars for JQ and book a hidden city on SQ which sees me leave 0005 on Monday morning for SIN and drop the last leg.

My friend had booked me a staff night at the St Regis to which I agreed on and for 240 a night it seems cheap.... Until I realized it was usd. What's done is done so I'll be making use of the transit hotel when I land and then head over to the St Regis later on the day when it opens.

I take it that you have some time off to actually take the trip!

:D

Affirmative! I do have time off to fly. Unpaid leave at its best!

I tried booking the transit lounge at T3 but apparently it takes them 2 days to confirm... Which I arrive tomorrow morning so will see what I can do when I arrive :) :D :D

Things are pretty well so far, asked for a bulkhead seat on SQ Y and the check in made a call to which they moved someone else to another seat so she could accommodate my seating... Really nice of her and if you were the one moved.... Sorry

Just sitting in the sq lounge having some sparking wine and waiting for the boarding time.
