Getting benefits of QR Gold but earning Qantas points

Hi all,

I've recently received QR Gold through a status match offer. The earn rates for Qantas domestic seem not horrible so I'd prefer to earn QF points. If I add my QR number initially can I then get it replaced with QF once I'm in the lounge?

I also should get the physical card in a few weeks so maybe easiest to just show that?

I take it this was the status match offered to a limited number of people via the FFA Facebook group ?

The answer to your question is yes. You should in theory be able to change your FF number to QFF once you are in the lounge. QF agents at various locations can get a little annoyed at this and state that you must credit to the program you are using your status benefits on.
This is not stated in OW rules.

Changing FFP in the lounge works fine, and when you get the physical card you can keep your QF FFP on the ticket and just show the card. Only time I had an issue was on the Gold Coast where the lounge dragon made a comment about it. She said I had to have the lounge entitled info on the BP. She let it slide that "one time".

Yep it was. Very handy as I'm not going to retain with Virgin and the team I'm transferring to at work fly Qantas. Does a print out of one world rules help?
