Hi All.

I will be fllying out of Frankurt to SIN from terminal 2 on QF006 in J. Can you please advise the lounge/s I will have access into that has a shower. Recent entry in the KLM lounge in terminal 2 was found to be very basic. Current status is bronze QFF.

There is a BA lounge that you can use. I actually used the CX lounge which was pretty basic.

QF shares the CX lounge in T2 FRA. It is fairly small and can get crowded before the QF6 departure. However, it has showers (small and not terribly fancy, but usable) and I have never had to wait long to access them. There is also an open bar with a limited range, but no real food to speak of besides the occasional tray of dodgy looking finger food. Wifi access is free.

I have not tried the BA lounge, is it better? How convenient is to the QF gate?

My family's experience with the cx lounge at FRA and qf006 suggests get there early if you want a warm shower. Apparently the hot water system is small or turns off at a certain hour. However, a cold shower isn't that bad due to their habit of heating all buildings to 30 degrees

The FRA CX Lounge is pretty small, but at the time of QF006's departure (app. 2315) it is usually only filled with QF passengers. The showers are small and hardly comparable with those at SIN or most Australian Int QCs, but the one thing they do have going for them is that they are thoroughly cleaned after each use (in very European style). Selection of drinks is usually pretty good, food is nothing to shake a stick at. Wireless internet is available.

My tip would be to get into the lounge as early as you can and set yourself up in a corner. Also, watch out for the continuous security checks from the lounge to the boarding gate. They can take up a fair whack of time.

Its been a little while since I went through FRA (18 months or so). but to get to the BA lounge you had to go through an extra security screening to get into the part of the terminal used by BA. So not sure if I had to show the BP to get through.

The BA lounge was small and really a short-haul lounge facility with minimal facilities and I do not think they have any showers.

Not when I transited there in July 07. I arrived HKG-FRA on CX get off the A/C went to the CX lounge then was able to walk to the BA lounge without going through security. I did then have to go through immigration and security to get to my flight to HEL - which I was not expecting and you people had not warned me about ;)
