On our flight home JFK-FRA-BKK we only received one boarding pass at JFK and were told to go to the transit desk in FRA. We asked ground staff in FRA and they told us where the desk was. Where it was in the DEPARTURE lounge. This meant we had to go through passport control, get the boarding passes and then go through security and then back to the business lounge. This seemed a bit of a waste, or did we just get lost?

Not an expert on FRA by any means, but a quick reading of the available information on their website and other forums suggests that you should not have needed to cross the passport control line.

You should have been able to follow the blue coloured Connecting flights sign, which will take you to the transit area and the transit counter, and proceed from there.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It was a star alliance booking and we were changing from Singapore to Thai

We asked the girl as we exited the plane and she said go to Terminal C (I think). We followed the transit signs as far as we could
