I thought I'd ask here first rather than try call Virgin Australia and get India; I've got myself booked in for return VA reward flights BNE-> SYD afew days ago (That I realize was my first mistake; Trying to book so late these reward flights...) leaving this Friday (Oct 26), then returning the next day (Oct 27); Business there, Saver fare going back. I've booked though the 7am flight out of Sydney return, and with plans now having shuffled around, I could now go back at a later time that would probably suit me and the person driving me to T2 at 6am in the morning.... Getting up 5:30am after a long party, if we ever get to sleep anyway....

Here's the thing; Login into see what I can change with my flight (Reading over my itinerary and the fare rules as I book the flights, I assume I could change my flights if the need be with the normal fare conditions showing up and everything; Even though I realize I may have to pay a huge amount in fare difference looking at the "value" of the seats), but neither the flight there (Business) or back (Saver) can be changed because its a Reward Seat...whatever, I can look into that later, blah...

So I'm thinking about now just throwing the towel in and rather than cough up $60 + Fare Difference (If I could do that in the first place anyway...by the sounds of it I won't be able to anyway), I just be a "No Show" and book a later Flexi flight now during the day.... It would be a waste of points... Some lessons though must be learnt the hard way...

Any thoughts? Would you do this? Or does anyone else have any ideas with my Saver Reward Seat and what I could maybe do to possible not entirely lose it...
Who know's, I might just end up taking the early flight anyway... All apart of the adventure...

So I actually read the rules properly this time (Haha...); I CAN change the booking to another flight...only though through the Call Center... woooo.... Another fee...

Now the question really is; Should I just be a "No Show" to this and forget about changing flights and just book a Flexi seat later during the day, or cop the fees and change my flight the harder way... Would a "No Show" to a reward seat affect things too much, particularly if I do have a later flight booked?! (Would it even be worth trying to to Cancel the flight and see what I can get back...?)

I have changed reward j seats through the call centre with no fee. The only time I was charged was on a reward seat booked 12 mths earlier at a significantly cheaper rate.
