Hello

I have read other messages here covering my questions but they seemed a bit outdated and I wanted to check with the pros as arrival and departure procedures might have changed since these posts were written.

So, I am looking to know if I should be seated on the left or the right of the plan, to have a great view of the Harbour / Opera House (is this in the district refered as to CBD ? Sorry I've never been to Sydney before.). I just book my flight and wanna choose the seat soon.

So here are my sectors.

03 SEP 15 : HKG-SYD on QF128 ETA 07:20 am , but I saw that flight often lands before 7am. So, noise reduction procedure might change the game ?
03 SEP 15 : SYD-AKL on LA800 ETD 09:30 am
28 SEP 15 : AKL-SYD on LA801 ETA 07:55 am
28 SEP 15 : SYD-HKG on QF127 ETD 10:05 am

I looked for the flight plan on flight tracker and it seems that it is very often :
OCEAN V4 NOMAN A461 MIA DCT LIP B473 SADAN M084F350 B473 OPABA M084F370 B587 NBR UH209 SCO H12 TESAT

So after downloading the arrival procedure (BOREE SIX) it seems than we will arrive from the North. So am I correct when I choose a seat on the left side of the plane For the HKG-SYD ?

And for the other flights ? What would you recommend me ?
Anyone has also feedback about best side of the plane for AKL and SCL landings / departure ?

Thanks for reading me, and even more thanks if you can answer me :p

The best side to sit on for the best views will depend on the runways in use on the day - which depends on the wind. FWIW I would recommend the following:

HKG-SYD: left
SYD-AKL: right
^Presumably the same runways will be operating for both these flights. So if you don't see the city on the way in, you will on the way out with this method.

AKL-SYD: left
SYD-HKG: right

Thank you Mattg
Exactly what I did.
Actually in my mind it was so obvious that it will depends on the winds direction that i skipped a part of my question.
I was actually trying to know if there is more frequent runway in use.
As per exemple in CDG, in early morning, it is much more often 26 and 27 rws in use.
But your answer foes in the same way as what I was thinking so I am happy and thsnk you again for your answer.
