Flying Virgin America out of LAX - Velocity Elite benefits?

Hey

Flying BNE to LAX with Virgin via a reward seat.. Looking to then fly LAX to Vegas. As a Plat velocity member any benefits re baggage allowance etc if I fly Virgin America? or better to fly some other partner - if so who?

I would honestly fly DL for LAX-LAS after BNE-LAX. Better lounge + opportunity for a shower if there isn't too much of a queue.

Having done this a few times now, I second the recommendation to use DL. I think also you'll find if booking on the VA website the DL-operated LAX-LAS flights are marketed with VA flight numbers and thereby count towards your eligible sectors.

My bad. I stupidly didn't read the OP properly and assumed the OP was flying to LAS on the same ticket.
