We are looking to fly from SIN to MXP and want to use the daytime flight from SIN to FRA and then connects with a flight from FRA to MXP. It is available to purchase on the SQ web site but when I try and put SIN as the start city and MXP as the end city, it only comes up with the direct SIN to MXP flight which is a night flight. Do you think SQ would offer the day time via FRA using points? I could call SQ and ask them but thought someone here might know.

On a second point, we are wait listed on a SIN to LHR flight for August 3 2013 , both the 9 am flight and the 12 pm flight. When I checked the flights initially they were both open and then I had to xfer my points from Amex and would you believe it, within those 2 days both flights went wait list. Is it possible to find out from SQ how far off being offered one of the flights or do they just do a bulk lot every so often?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have traveled to SIN-FRA-MIL. It was two years ago when I used this route to avail myself of the 747 F service.

Do you specifically need to go to MXP? Linate (MIL) is much closer to the city and also does away with the extra cost of using the Malpensa Express train.

The FRA-MIL service is operated by Lufthansa. This means you need to call the SQ call centre and do a Star Alliance redemption. It will cost 15% more miles as you will no longer qualify for the 15% online booking.

Another consideration which I have not checked is that the SQ flight arrives into FRA with enough time to catch on onward connection to MIL.

Actually I have an upcoming requirement to visit Milan later this year. You've reminded me of the convenience of arriving/departing at the city airport.
