Flying Blue Soft Landing

This might be old news, but I just received an email to confirm a soft landing for a Status Match:

"Dear Mr Atreides,

Continue to fly as a Platinum member in 2013

We would like to inform you that, as of 29/11/2012, it appears that you have earned x Level Miles and 6 Qualifying flights this year*. To renew your Flying Blue Platinum level in 2013, you need to reach 70000 Level Miles or 60 Qualifying flights before the Annual Level Check on 31 December 2012. Otherwise you will become Flying Blue Gold member as of 1 April 2013."

Not bad considering Gold offers almost identical benefits to Platinum.

Good outcome.

I did not get a soft landing and went straight to Ivory. I only had a single KL flight so no love here but then again I dont fly enough to justify any status =p
