Hi all, a friend is planning to travel to South America, looking to fly in to Santiago (SCL) or Buenos Aires (BUE) around late Nov/early Dec returning late Jan/early Feb, ex SYD. It's high season then and flights are currently through the roof (~3000 return). Are seasonal sales likely in the next month or so? I realise that sales cannot be entirely predicted and that round 2 of the GFC might precipitate further sales (or airline failures...) I'm just wondering if there are often sales for that time of year and when they might be (eg similar to the typical Feb sales for June fares to Europe). It's not a route I've typically watched. I've also suggested to him checking out the Lufthansa pseudo-RTW fares and similar.
