Hey All,

Just wondering if any of you have taken the flight simulator experience at Darling Harbour in Sydney before? Any suggestions on which packages (if any) are worth it would be greatly appreciated.

I did the A380 simulator in Dubai was fantastic, flew out of the city landed in Hong Kong - in middle of runway of course :)

Are you referring to Flight Experience?
If so I would much more readily recommend the World Flight Simulator. It's a reasonable $150 for the hour and all monies are donated the RFDS.
Au contraire, Flight Experience rates are closer to $200 for 1/2 an hour and $300 for 1 but go into someone's pocket.

Flight Experience is an arcade game, and not a very good one. SWMBO purchased me an hour in one about a year ago, it was average at best. Most of the systems are inoperative, just there for show.

If you must, get one of their regular 50% or better discounts (ozbargain, etc), don't pay full price.

Have to agree there, I had the opportunity to use the one in Brisbane at Breakfast Creek - running on FlightSim X. Many of the switches and control systems (such as the autopilot) failed to work. I'd spent weeks at home shooting IMC approaches into Kai Tak, so much of my time was wasted...
