Hi All,
Just a question - I had a direct flight from SIN - MEL scheduled for some months from now which got cancelled by QANTAS. They advised me that they had rebooked me onto an earlier flight for the day. I used the opportunity to change (without fee) to another flight which has 2 legs instead of a direct route.
My question is, do I get points and SCs equivalent to the original flight that I booked and paid for or for the 2 leg flight? It seems that what I've chosen is better for me - I was in no hurry to return for this flight, I have time on my side, and I booked the flight during a double SC promotion, hence why I chose the longer leg home, but I was second guessing my brilliance after thinking about it so I wanted to check with those of you who know much better than I, did I just stupidly add 4 hours and a change of flight onto my travels for no apparent gain? I could certainly use the extra SCs so if it does count, it would be worth it.
