Flying DOM out of Perth I expect the PB lane won't be working and as I'm in Y, I expect nothing, will I be surprised ?

Expect nothing and at least you won't be disappointed.

Maybe you might get a inflight welcome from the CSM.

Light loads tend to increase the chance of some sort of acknowledgement IME.
And if you're heading over east you can try out a J lounge on the return.

I flew PER/SYD on the 333 with an international crew in May which was my first flight as a WP & got the WP greeting from the CSS who was overseeing the whY cabin as I was in 23K.

The funny thing was she said to me "are you any relation to.....". Turns out she went to school with my cousin.

Had a bit of a giggle to myself as it was like a reverse DYKWIA moment.

I got an inflight welcome on my first platinum flight. Expect that, try asking for bubbly from the business cabin. ;)

NB I never ask for anything when they offer.

J lounge (if one exists where you are going) aside, I wouldn't be counting on much. Anything at all would be a bonus (hey, you never know):). Hopefully PB will be working OK on your flights.

I can't 'like' on the iPad

Yes you can - just touch the area where "like" would normally be and it will appear and you can click on it

absolutely nothing happened to me on my first WP flight :(

Absolutely nothing extra has happened to me on ANY flight since becoming WP.

I'm in agreement with these sentiments. I once had an offer of a newspaper in domestic Y but apart from that, nothing more. My first ever flight as WP was out of PER, tried to see if I could get on an earlier flight with a cheap fare. I expected to be knocked back and I was right. So I spent the ensuing few hours in the QC, no J lounge of course. I do often get a shadow though which is great.

A dedicated J lounge where it's available, better seating and other benefits are great to have but I bet there are a few too many CLPOs/CLs/WP1s for WPs to get any special treatment on board. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed ;)

Not in the app, sure if you're using Safari, but that's different. The app is good for speed, but not advanced features. In any case, I liked it when I got back to my Mac.

Same. And nothing since either. In fact on my first flight as a WP I noticed the CSM do a personal greet to the 2 pax sitting in 4A and C and ask if there was anything they needed. They didn't, then he turned to me, sitting in 4F, looked at me, then turned back around and went back into the J cabin. I am fairly certain my being 21 had something to do with it. Even though I don't care about such things, the fact that he looked at me then (I assume) decided not to greet me made me a little annoyed.

Sorry to rain on any parade, but unfortunately the reality in FF terms is that WP is one level below the top tier, which is now P1, apart from J lounge access unlikely to see much in tems of extra services

My first flight ever as a WP I got upgraded!

Was a flight on the golden triangle in school holidays though so just a coincidence I'm sure.

On PER flights I usually get newspapers, a special welcome and a couple of visits with nuts / more drinks than the average Y punter.

I forgot about seating and newspaper. I just about always get a paper and have seen them offered down the cabin to select individuals. This seems to be a crew specific thing. and of course I get great seating more often than not.

Wrong. Platinum one is part of the platinum membership level. This has been demonstrated a number of times in your other thread.

Got upgrade to J on my first flight (which happened to be international), along with my travel companions as I booked their tickets, we were linked. :)

IIRC i was on about 1600 SC. Which puts me at < P0.5 ;)

I don't think you are sorry, I think you're very happy to point it out obnoxiously every chance you get. Not sure why though.
