Hey everyone,

Just like to report back on my BKK to HEL flight.

I got these flights to and from London for about 5.6k return in J. Our company is cost conscious so i did my best to keep the cost down.

For me these guys are like premium economy with an AA slope seat (i'm not saying this is a bad thing). Their service was good. There's a strange sense of calmness exuded by the cabin staff. Maybe it was the aquaness of the decor.

The reason why i feel it's PE + flatbed:
1. amentities kit: socks, earplugs, eye mask and that's about it. For an 11hr flight seems on the low side. (they did however stock the toilet with a shaving kit in the morning, QF pls read this!!!)
2. food: they arrive on a tray with foil covering the hot food and you eat when they serve you
3. food: i'm pretty sure the QF PE food is better

In saying all this I'd have no problems flying them again at a price under 6k. All i really need is a flatbed, all the other stuff though nice is unnecessary. In saying that if their price got within 500 dollars of QF or CX then i'm going to choose the other airline.

So to all who are considering flying Finnair please don't worry they're very good, just don't expect the highest levels of J found in QF CX etc.

Still quite pricey for what you're describing. Any reason why you chose to fly them?

5.6k MEL/SYD return to LHR is not bad at all. I am assuming that is what gumpy means. If it is just BKK-LHR-BKK then it seems a bit pricey.

Describing it as PE also makes it sound pricey. I assume this was a 70in length flat seat. I could live with that for J SCs and a better earning routing compared to $8K on CX and $11K on QF.

Ah i see where the confusion was.

It was a SYD to LHR via BKK and HEL J ticket for 5.6k. It was the same sort of seat as the AA international long haul angle flat seats.

I guess BKK LHR at 5.6k is pricey.
