Hi All,

Come across an interesting discrepancy between QF Award availability and the JAL Website / USDM Help Desk. Basically, a number of J and F (award) seats are appearing on the QF engine which do not show up on the JAL search or to the USDM Help Desk by phone. While I don't trust the latter, I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this - or if indeed I'm just stating the obvious because I don't know a particular rule :)

Yep, QF site gives loads of phantom CX availability. I had exactly the same thing happen last week, I had 4x F or J options in my backup plans (ie. plan B, C, D and E in case Plan A didn't work) that couldn't be seen by USDM. I ended up getting J redemptions close to the dates I wanted (this time next year) but less attractive timings and no F available.
