Find the nearest airport?

Hi folks,

Mrs Yada Yada needs to travel for work this year, all within country NSW. Some of the towns she must visit will be remote so she needs some way of looking up the closest airport for each location.

Does anyone know of a website that would provide such information?

One idea might be to look on Google Maps and select find business - airport and put in your closest location. Maybe not 100% and the big issue of course be whether anyone services the airport...

GCM will be of some assistance.

Using the linked example, you can search for all airports within a 300 mile radius of say somewhere like Dubbo.

As to who flies to some of the more remote areas, well that's another story....

Are you talking airports to take charter services or RPT services? Maybe try us all out as a challenge (but would understand if you want to keep them confidential). I am sure there may be the odd person or two who may have travelled extensively in NSW.

Having used Sabre for years as a TA, they have a great "closest airport" program. The only consumer interface is under Travelocity Car Rental

As an example, I've used Crookwell, Australia and the results were as follows.

Many thanks for the suggestions. The CGM (thanks Shano) and the Travelocity (thanks AlphaVictor) options both look good and between them should do the trick.

dajop - will definitely post a question here if Mrs YY can't find what she needs. This is not confidential. She works for the distance education part TAFE and needs to visit remote students this year.
