Fiji Airways ends Adelaide service [back in 2022]

Looks like this route is back - 2x weekly and with a much better schedule (flights are in daylight hours).
Am I missing something?
I’ve seen FJ aircraft at ADL for close to a couple of months now and I thought it resumed back in July

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but they seem better than the old schedule of 23:35-06:30+1 😲

Apologies, so to elaborate. 1315 Dep ADL and 2005 Arr NAN are horrible times for us.

The old times are close to what they are out of MEL most days and which we will never do again by choice.

For us to go to our regular resort which is a 2.5 hr drive from NAN, coupled with the fact we live about 3 hrs from MEL the new times would require a hotel stay at each end.

The old overnight schedule was awful when I did it. Sitting up in a 737 J seat with the FAs chatting and clattering in the forward galley all night (which was shortened by the time change anyway). Got no sleep at all and my first day in Fiji was ruined. Never again.

They did. Niece and nephew travelled in July school holidays with the kids. And came back with Covid 🤭 Ah just remembered. They flew via Sydney as the timings were as @Anna described.

Late arrival into Fiji may not be ideal for many holidayers but many others also didn't like arriving at the crack of dawn after little to no sleep and being unable to check in to a hotel for hours.

To each their own, but what this current schedule does offer that the previous didn't is another good option to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and soon Vancouver with a one-stop service.
