Please help. What is the difference between Family pooling and Family points transfer?
When should one option be chosen over the other, and what are the pros and cons of each?
Family pooling, you receive the points and status credits from the person flying. It's automatic once you set it up.
Family transfer is when you manually transfer points between accounts.
One caveat is the beneficiary must earn 50% of their status credits with their own flying, previously it was not capped so families could create status pretty quickly in many circumstances for one member.
