Hello VA AFF members,

Got a VA reward ticket SYD-LAX-SYD.

There is a possibility of returning a week later and there are still reward seats available on the alternate return date.

Will VA/velocity kick up a stink if I book another return leg reward seat to cover the potential alternate return date but not cancel the original return ticket.

My aim would be to cancel one of the two LAX-SYD legs reward tickets closer to the return?

I understand that there will be a fee but thats ok to add a bit of flexibility to the reward booking.

I don't see why they would care.

Is the original booked as a return trip, or 2 one ways?

Just check about being able to cancel the original return without cancelling the entire booking if it is a return.

Luckily outbound is on a different PNR to original return.

I understand in the T&C, once journey has commenced there can be no refunds on rewards tickets. so this wont apply to me

Ok then I will make that 2nd reward booking.
There is only a $60 for cancelling and recredit of all points.

I think you'll be fine. $60 for the option is a small price to pay.
