Just sitting in the etihad F lounge in Abu dabhi. It's a real nice lounge and quiet at the moment. Had a complimentary 15 minute massage and having a nice a la carte meal now. This is actually a great "plat" benefit over being gold now with VA. had no issue at all at the lounge desk. Thought I would post as it could be useful for any VA plat passing through Abu dabhi.

I was there at the end of May and was expecting just to flop down into the regular business lounge but when I flashed my Platinum FF card I was immediately escorted into the First Class lounge. My only disappointment was I didn't get to spend enough time there!

I'm gonna be there next week, looking forward to it :)
Youl enjoy it. It's sit down dining and table service where ever you sit. I had a lovely meal there and a massage before I got on my next flight.
Just make sure to ask for the F lounge in T3 as I initially was directed to a shared lounge in another terminal by accident

Xlent to hear - there in Sept and Oct and had wondered if I wud get in because the 'find out more here' link to from Velocity Plat wwide lounge access to Etihad clicks thru to their ADhabi J lounge not F.. Wouldn't that be a bit embarrassing - front up at Etihad F and be told to apply at the tradesman's entrance...

Thanks for posting this - sounds great! Actually I am interested in people's experience in guesting into Etihad's lounges. I am planning travel to Europe over the summer holidays for the Sunburnt family which is Mr Sunburnt, Master Sunburnt (8) and self. With VA Plat you technically get to only bring in 1 person, which is a bit awkward in our little family. Anyone tried? We're very lucky with VA not counting the kids :p (thanks, Virgin!)

The Etihad F lounge at AUH really is a superb facility. Very comfortable and well appointed restaurant with excellent food and service. Also has the largest shower cubicles I've ever seen in a lounge.

I was there twice in a week, once for breakfast and next for dinner. Good choices for both meals. Don't know if they still do this but the wines in the restaurant were the same as on board. At first I thought that didn't offer variety but then I appreciated it as it's more a continuation of service. Especially as they were serving a delightful Montrachet at the time.
